This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit laurenagresti.com (the "Site") and how that information is used. The Site is a personal website operated by Lauren Agresti. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.
Information collected
The Site collects information in two ways.
Information you send through the contact form. If you use the message form on the Site to get in touch, you provide your name, your email address, and the content of your message. That message is delivered to lauren@laurenagresti.com so it can be read and answered. This is the only feature of the Site that asks you to submit personal information.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site collects basic technical and usage information automatically when you visit — for example, your IP address, the type of browser and device you use, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. This information is gathered through cookies and similar technologies as part of the Site's built-in analytics, and it is used to understand general traffic patterns and improve the Site.
How the Site is hosted and how your information is processed
The Site is built and hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace stores the Site's content, delivers the contact-form messages, and provides the analytics described above. In doing so, Squarespace processes visitor information on Lauren Agresti's behalf as a service provider. Squarespace's own handling of that data is governed by its privacy policy, available at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies for analytics — small files stored by your browser that help measure how the Site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not prevent you from using the Site's core features, including the contact form. How information is used
Information collected through the Site is used only to respond to messages you send through the contact form, to understand how the Site is used and improve it, and to comply with legal obligations where required. The Site does not sell or rent your personal information, and it is not used to send marketing emails or newsletters.

You can ask to see the personal information held about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, or have it deleted. Because the only personal information the Site collects directly is what you send through the contact form, this generally means the messages you have sent. Data retention
Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of correspondence, and are deleted when no longer needed.
Data security
Reasonable measures are taken to protect the information collected through the Site from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Please keep this in mind when sending anything sensitive through the contact form.

Children's privacy
